Vacuum Conditions:
Red Meters are not designed to operate under vacuum conditions (negative pressures below 0 psi). Exposure to vacuum environments may impact measurement accuracy and could compromise the integrity of the meter.
To ensure reliable performance and protect the system, the installation of a properly specified vacuum relief valve (VRV) is strongly recommended. The VRV should be selected based on system requirements and process media, and installed at appropriate locations to prevent the formation of vacuum conditions within the line.
Note: Any VRV size referenced in this estimate is based on the nominal size of the Red Meter system and is provided for general guidance only. Final VRV sizing and specification should be confirmed based on system design and operating conditions.
